Strong community involvement has long been a commitment of SureWest. The SureWest Foundation is a nonprofit corporation that was formed in 1992 by the employees and management of SureWest—formerly Roseville Telephone Company—for the purpose of meeting the charitable needs of our regional residents. The Foundation gives to the communities we serve by offering assistance and hope to the elderly and disabled, to children, families, minorities, crime and disaster victims, and supports the arts, culture and education. SureWest Foundation is duly recognized by the Internal Revenue Service and, by law, can only assist agencies that meet the Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3).

Request for Funding Guidelines :

Please review the application guidelines below prior to submitting a formal written request to receive funds, indicating what action you would like the SureWest Foundation to consider. Include any of the following information pertinent to your specific request:

• Agency background and history / year established
• Mission Statement
• Objectives and project activities
• Proposed use of the contribution
• Total project cost
• The time table for meeting your stated objectives
• Event levels of sponsorship, date, time, place, dress, attire, etc.
• Who benefits from your agency? Include newspaper articles, pictures, pamphlets, etc.
• A copy of 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status must accompany your initial request.
